Venom: The Last Dance Updates[]

Per the recent release, I think we need to move the events of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Venom: The Last Dance, and the infamous post-credit scene of Morbius to July 2020 instead of late 2020 and mid-2021. Eddie Brock states explicitly that he and Venom had been together for a year and Rex Strickland says it is July. - Bryschec (talk) 19:20, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

I understand, however, there is a lot of evidence that Venom: Let There Be Carnage takes place in November 2020. In turn, the evidence that claims Venom: The Last Dance taking place in July 2020 is very scarce, not to mention that it is only one that is very easy to disconfirm. The fact that the film takes place in July is pretty much confirmed by Rex Strickland, being a high-ranking soldier, I don't think he's wrong about those things. but in Eddie's case, let's put it in context: he just escaped from a chase in which he had to kill someone because Venom left him no other option, most likely he's confused. Eddie mentions that he left him no choice "A year ago, when you stole my life." Venom replies: "We've been together for a whole year?" Eddie -"A year too long." The fact that Venom doesn't know how long they have been, being a symbiote (his personality is mostly based on the host), it's quite possible that Eddie doesn't know either, and deduces that they've been together for about a year. I know it sounds far-fetched, but it just doesn't make sense for the movie to take place in 2020. - Asner02 (talk) 19:45, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
I have a good theory that might explain this correspondence. In "Loki" (and some other media) it was established that time can move differently in each universe. It took months for OB to make the timepad, but for Loki, being in the other timeline, a few minutes passed. So, let's say time moves much faster in the Venom universe than in the Sacred Timeline. Eddie left his universe in November 2020 and ended up in November 2024 of the other universe. He spent a couple of days there and came back to his universe, but time moved faster there, so he returned to July 2021. Therefore, Eddie's words about him and Venom being together for about a one year make sense, since from THEIR point of view, that's how much time has passed. - AlexAstahov2222 (talk) 19:45, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

Separate 2020 and 2021[]

I wanted to settle the previous Talk before writing this one, but since it doesn't look like the decision is going to change from the film happening in 2021, I decided to start this new one. Why make the page take up an entire decade? It seems a bit exaggerated to me. And it's not even like the 2010s case, which is understandable because there is no relevant information prior to 2018. Steve Fuenzalida said "Later I'll explain it", but he didn't explain anything (or I didn't find the explanation). 2020 and 2021 should be two separate pages. - Asner02 (talk) 02:31, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

I guess I forgot to explain it, but I did it to keep a consistent format with the previous pages (2000s and 2010s). Also, ranged pages allow adding events whose exact year is undetermined. I don't think they should be separated yet. -Steve Fuenzalida (talk) 02:08, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
