Spiders (order Araneae) are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with fangs able to inject venom. They are the largest order of Arachnids.

At one point in the Amazon rainforest, Peru, a special type of spiders would appear in all the forest with it capabilities being different that most spiders since its bite, as well as its poison could give people the abilities of the spider, including superhuman strength, the ability to crawl on walls and other spider-based powers. Apart from that, the spider's capabilities also make it able to cure any kind of diseases.[1]

The Birth of the Spider-People[]

At one point in the Amazon rainforest, a special species of spider would bite a group of people in Peru, with them eventually gaining their spider-like powers. Deciding to used their powers to help the defenseless they would become a tribe known as Las AraƱas with some people referring to them as "Spider-People". With their powers they would face any threat in the Amazon rainforest while still keeping themselves in the shadows becoming in the process an urban legend and only appearing in myths.[1]

Having heard about the rumors of those Spider-People, Ezekiel Sims would ally himself with Constance Webb in order to find the spider and get the same powers, while Constance wanted the healing properties of the arachnid in order to cure not only the disease of her unborn baby but every disease. This made her begin to do a research trip involving the investigation of those spiders, and Ezekiel Sim worked with Constance Webb in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru as both where finding those arachnids.[1]

Saving Cassandra Webb[]

After Constance was betrayed by Ezekiel Sims and shot by him, members of Las AraƱas rescued her by letting herself be bitten by the same species of spider that give them their powers. The spider bite worked out with Cassandra Webb being born without any diseases, but her mother wasn't that lucky. Still, their leader, Santiago, promised to her that she would come back and that he would be waiting for her. Following her death, the tribe put a curse in Ezekiel after the latter was bitten, that he was destined to be killed by spider-powered individuals.[1]

Rise of Madame Web[]

In 2003, a 30-year old Cassandra Webb began to develop her spider-like abilities, following the spider-bite she had in her birth. Despite not gaining all the powers of the Spider-People such as the stregh or the ability to crawl walls, she still gained their precognict senses but her sixth sense became more develop with she managing to watch the future. And to also being more that one place at the same time. At the same time, Ezekiel Sims would created a black suit in order to chase his killers by using the spider-like powers he gained trought the spider he steal after discovering that in the future their killers would also gained spider-powers. Deciding to used his powers to protect the girls, she would eventually became sucesfull, finally defeating and killing Ezekiel and as such completing the curse. After ending paraplegic and blind. She and the girls she saved would live together, with she having a glimpse of the future discovering they would also gained Spider-Powers in the future with she deciding to used her powers to guide them when that happen.[1]

Rise of Spider-Man & Silk[]

Years later after those events, another spider would bite teenager Peter Parker which gave him the same superhuman abilities of Las AraƱas. After that, Peter started fighting crime in his neighborhood as the masked superhero known as "Spider-Man", creating for his use a spider-design suit adapted to his powers as well as a pair of wrist bracelet in order to trow a white substance in form of a spider web with him becoming the most known Spider-People after the Peru's Spider-Tribe. The same spider also bite another girl named Cindy Moon which would also result in her gaining spider-like abilites, who would be later known as "Silk". [1][3][4][5][6]

A spider was killed by Cletus Kasady as he was writing a letter to Eddie Brock.[7]

Rise of New Spider-People[]

Years after Spider-Man's dissaperance, Julia Carpenter would also got spider-like powers, who would be known as "Spider-Woman". Apart from Julia, Mattie Franklin, Anya Corazón would also get similar spider-like abilities and began to used them in order to fight the never ending crime spreed of the dangerous New York as "Araña" and "Spider-Girl" respectively, as they were mentored by Madame Web.[1]

Earth-1610[]

In an alternate universe, a teenager named Miles Morales gained spider-like powers following the bite of a radioactive and uses a spider costume, in a similar way that did the deceased Peter Parker. [8][9]

Earth-616B[]

In another alternate universe, Peter B. Parker was also bitten by a spider and get powers using a spider-suit as Spider-Man.[8][9]

Earth-199999[]

In another alternate universe, another Peter Parker also get spider-powers, following the bite of a spider becoming Spider-Man.[10][11]
