Peter Benjamin Parker is a man whose DNA and body were mutated after being bitten by a spider, gaining as a result a new set of spider-like abilities. Peter used those powers to eventually operate in New York City as the masked superhero known as Spider-Man, until his reported disappearance.

Peter Benjamin Parker was born in Queens, New York City in late 2003 to Richard and Mary Parker, four weeks before he was supposed to, as such this make his birth being witnessed by his uncle Ben Parker instead of his father, who was away at the time.

Peter continued to grew up in Queens, on a middle class household; however, at one point during his childhood, his parents would become absent from his life. Those events would eventually lead the young Parker would be raised by his loving uncle Ben and aunt May Parker.[1][3]

In his teenage years, Peter Parker was bitten by a spider and thanks to the spider's venom he acquired superhuman powers similar of those of the spider-people, including the strength and speed proportional to that of a spider and an uncanny ability to adhere to walls as well as a precognitive sense that alert him of danger.

Determined to use these new powers to help the defenseless, Parker developed a red and blue suit in order to adopt the identity of the masked superhero Spider-Man when battling criminals in New York City. He would also developed his own synthetic web fluid and web-shooters in order to use it on the criminals and swing on the streets of New York City.[1][3][4]

During his time as Spider-Man he became known worldwide as he began to save people from assaults and accidents keeping the crime at bay. While saving the citizens of New York City, he eventually managed to confront different set of enemies, including the known Kraven the Hunter.[5][6] With the pass of the time, New York became one of the safest cities in the United States due to Spider-Man's actions. Despite gaining a place as a hero, some people still have some reservations about him, with few of them even calling him "murderer".[2][4][7]

Disappearance

In 2019, after being seen in Europe, Spider-Man was reported missing. Since the inhabitants of New York City no longer have his protection in three months his disappearance caused a disaster managing to make the crime to increase, especially on the subways, since many crooks started using his disappearance as a way to make kidnapping on the buses managing to transform the secure New York into a city plagued of evil. This eventually led to a worldwide search for the hero; which The Daily Bugle reported on.[2][4][7]

  • Spider Physiology: Peter Parker was bitten by a spider, as such he began to possess all of the abilities derivative from the venom of the arachnid that bite him, but proportionate to that of humans. He shares most of the Spider-People powers.
    • Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man is considerably stronger and tougher than normal humans; he is able to easily overpower, lift and throw others with one hand, and could best multiple police officers simultaneously in combat. Spider-Man can also easily deflect high-velocity projectiles, and leap higher and further than normal Humans.
    • Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man is able to run, move and jump at superior speeds than any normal humans.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: Spider-Man is able to move and react at superhuman speeds, Spider-Man is also able to counter knife attacks and also is able to deflect a high-velocity projectile from any one that throw it at him.
    • Superhuman Agility: Spider-Man is faster, more agile, and can react more quickly than normal humans; enabling him to leap higher, further, faster, and with greater accuracy than normal humans. Spider-Man is able to easily and rapidly move and react; he can quickly and accurately leap between moving vehicles.
    • Surface Adhesion: Spider-Man is able to adhere to vertical and upside-down surfaces; Spider-Man is able to jump up and adhere to any type of ceiling.
    • Spider-Sense: Spider-Man posses a sixth sense, that act as a precognitive ability to sense potential or immediate danger. In short words, he has the ability to see glimpses into the future helping him avoid future threats; such as surprised attacks.

  • Webbing Generation: With the help of his web-shooters, Spider-Man has the ability to throw a white substance in form of a spider web from out of his wrist in order to swing through buildings, fight and capture his enemies.
  • Genius-level Intellect: As just as a teenager, Peter Parker was able to created a sophisticated invention such as the Web-Shooters which shows he have a huge amount of intelligence.

  • Spider-Man Suit: A specialized red and blue suit created and used by Peter Parker to operate as the crime-fighting hero known as Spider-Man.
  • Web-Shooters: Since webs aren't a power he gained trough the spider-bite, Peter's intelligence help him make a pair of web-shooters in order to make webs.

  • In the comics, Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider that granted him superpowers. Upon the death of his uncle, Ben Parker, due to Parker's indifference, he decided to become the selfless hero known as Spider-Man.
