Abduction of Frances Barrison[]
In 1996, Frances Barrison was taken from the St. Estes Home for Unwanted Children to be transferred to the Ravencroft institute due to her possessing supersonic screech. After a police unit arrived to take custody of her, she attempted to escape and attacked her escorts, only to be subdued and shot in her left eye by police officer Patrick Mulligan, who came under the belief that he had killed her.[1]
