Richard Parker is the husband of Mary Parker, and the father of Peter Parker, as well as the brother of Ben Parker.

Family Life[]
Richard Parker grew up with his brother Ben in New York City and eventually took a job that often required to him to travel the world. He eventually met a woman named Mary and they fell in love, with them later getting married. Despite his love for his family, his job sometimes interrupts his duty as a husband, with Richard sometimes traveling out of the country most of the time being his brother Ben the one who took care of Mary while Richard was away, which result on Ben becoming an important part of the family.[1][2]
Business Trip[]
Richard and Mary would eventually have a son, whom Mary named Peter, despite Richard wishing they named him with his name instead. However, four Weeks before his son's birth, Richard needed to go on a business trip, which led to Mary being taken care of by Ben while he was away. However, unbeknownst to him, the baby was born before it was supposed to and as such couldn't witness his son's birth.[2]
Later Life[]
At one point for unknown reasons, Richard and Mary would become absent from his son's life during the latter's childhood years which resulted in Ben taking the guardianship of Peter alongside his wife May.[1][2]

- In the comics, Richard Laurance Parker was a decorated soldier of the United States Army Special Forces and younger brother of Ben Parker, who was recruited by Nick Fury, the future director of S.H.I.E.L.D., to the C.I.A. as a secret agent where he would marry Mary Fitzpatrick while they were both working for the CIA. She, alongside her husband, would be killed by Red Skull, during one of their missions while her son Peter Parker was just a child. Apart from Peter, Richard, and Mary would secretly have another kid before their deaths named Teresa Parker.
