- "Dead specimens show that the peptides in the spiders' venom, they... basically, they supercharge their cellular structure."
"That spider can give superhuman strength and power like Las Arañas."
"Las Arañas? The, uh, mythical spider people who run across the treetops and punish evil men with their black, poisoned touch?" - ―Constance Webb and Ezekiel Sims[src]
Las Arañas, also known as the Spider-People, are a hidden Peruvian tribe formed by people with spider-powers, which they gained following the bite of super-spiders of the place.

Characteristics and Traits[]
- "According to local folklore, they possess powers derived from spider venom and are incredibly fast, incredibly strong and they can climb like spiders. Las Arañas are said to possess a sixth sense, as if they had the ability to glimpse the future."
- ―Constance Webb's notes[src]
The Spider-People possess greater physical strength and speed than humans. Ezekiel Sims, for example, could lift fully grown adults by their necks with one hand, as well as dodge bullets from handguns.
They can also climb on walls and release an acute neurotoxin from their hands.
According to Constance Webb's notes, the Spider-People have a sixth sense which borders on precognition. For her daughter Cassandra, the latter unlocked the ability to see the future after a near-death experience because her mother was bitten by a spider moments before birth.
