The LF1 Crash was an accident that occurred after a group of astronauts working for the Life Foundation came across four lifeforms known as Symbiotes.
Background[]
A mysterious group of four aliens known as Symbiotes, led by the one they called Riot, decided to leave their home planet and found themselves in a comet at the same time a group of astronauts were exploring space for new habitable worlds.[1]
Crash[]

The Life Foundation's spaceship dubbed LF1 came close to the comet and captured the four symbiotes, only for the ship to crash in eastern Malaysia, approximately 20 miles west of Sibu. Everyone on board was killed except for John Jameson who unknowingly became bonded to the symbiote known as Riot.[1] At the same time, Rex Strickland and his team chased and captured some symbiotes that were escaping.[3]
Riot bonds with Corinne Wan
As paramedics and clean-up crews investigated the scene, Corinne Wan, a paramedic, helped take Jameson away for treatment but ultimately became infected by Riot herself. She caused their ambulance to crash on their way to the hospital and later walked away from it as her injuries healed.[1]
Aftermath[]
The symbiotes captured by Rex Strickland were taken to the Area 55.[3]
In the following six months, the Riot symbiote kept jumping from host to host while the Life Foundation used their symbiotes to experiment on both animals and humans. These experiments eventually caught the attention of the reporter Eddie Brock, who tried to expose these events.[1]
