Desperate to gain freedom, Knull ordered his remaining subordinates, the Xenophages, to travel across the universe in search of the Codex, stating that once he managed to escape, he would go on a rampage on every living planet, as well as take revenge on his Symbiotes, promising the Xenophages to let them live in his new realm, an order his creations complied with and ended up traveling to Earth, where they came into conflict with Venom and Edward Brock. During the attack on Area 51, Knull watched and suffered as the Xenophages were killed by Venom, who sacrificed himself to destroy them, along with the Codex, ruining Knull's chance of escape. [1]
