Biography[]

Becoming a Doctor[]

This section needs a rewrite

Dan Lewis got his job at a hospital in San Francisco.

Dating Anne Weying[]

Dan Lewis met Anne Weying and became her new boyfriend after she broke up with her ex-fiancee, Eddie Brock.[1]

Meeting Eddie Brock[]

While parking outside Weying's house, Lewis got out of the car and was met by Eddie Brock, the former reporter of The Eddie Brock Report, and shook hands with him as he was a fan of his journalistic work. For a moment, he let his girlfriend and Brock speak with each other after six months, and he went inside Weying's house.[1]

Helping Eddie Brock[]

The next day, Lewis was having lunch Anne Weying at a high-end restaurant, and Eddie Brock barged in, ran up to Weying and attempted to inform her of what was happening at the Life Foundation, but his increasingly erratic behavior and feverish temperature caused her to first assume he was drunk and then that he was sick. Brock began wandering the restaurant and attempting to raid other people's meals, snarling at Lewis and smashing a man's nose when he tried to stop him. Lewis tried to stop the restaurant's manager from calling the police by saying that Brock was his patient and unwell.

Later, Brock was taken for an MRI at the hospital, where Lewis spoke to him over the PA and told him that they were going to run some tests. As the MRI started up, the symbiote inside Brock negatively reacted to the high-pitched sound, causing Brock excruciating pain. Lewis aborted the scan and walked Brock out. Lewis told him he would call him when his test results were in, and sent him home.[1]

Test Results[]

"Where's Eddie?"
"Why? What's happening?"
"I got Eddie's labs back, and it's worse than I thought. His systems, renal, endocrine, they're behaving abnormally. I've never seen anything like it."
"What does that mean, Dan? What are you telling me?"
"You need to get him here."
―Dan Lewis and Anne Weying[src]

A few hours later, Lewis and Weying called Brock on the phone, who informed Brock that he had a parasite. Lewis stated that the parasite was causing metabolic abnormalities and that he should get it removed as soon as possible.

Back at the hospital, Lewis called Weying and told her that he got Brock's test results, and it appeared that his systems were behaving abnormally, due to the fact that the symbiote named Venom took control of Brock's body.[1]

Removing the Symbiote[]

When Brock came to the hospital the next time, Lewis told him that Venom had been consuming his organs. Brock asked if Lewis could fix the damage, but Lewis said he had never seen anything like it. Weying told Venom that it was killing Brock, but the symbiote lashed out and attacked Lewis. Weying turned on the MRI, forcing the symbiote out of Brock's body, and then sealed it inside the room. As Weying attempted to calm Lewis down, Venom oozed into the ventilation and bonded to a dog.[1]

Engagement with Anne Weying[]

In 2020, Lewis and Anne Weying got into an engagement, which Eddie Brock felt about because of his past actions.[2]

Reuniting With Venom[]

"Man, those two need some serious couples counseling."
―Dan Lewis[src]

Arriving at Mrs. Chen's store with Anne Weying in town, Lewis came along with her to see if Chen knew where Venom was, only for Chen to angrily accuse her of breaking Eddie Brock's heart and refuse to tell them anything. A news report about Cletus Kasady and Frances Barrison came on, and Weying told Chen that Kasady had a symbiote named Carnage, much to Dan's horror and outrage at his fiancée for casually lying to him. Pleased that Weying was giving Venom the recognition it felt and deserved, Venom disparaged Lewis again before agreeing to help save Brock.[2]

Duel at Grace Cathedral[]

"Fire and sound. Except without the sound."
―Dan Lewis[src]

Arriving at the alley where Lewis was waiting for them, Venom retracted into Anne Weying's body and refused to comply further until Eddie Brock apologized. Addressing Lewis, Brock advised them to leave San Francisco as quickly as possible, shaking Lewis' arm before Venom slapped him. However, before they could do that, Shriek incapacitated Lewis, stuffed him in the trunk of his own car, and broke in to abduct Weying. Knocking Weying out, Shriek gave Lewis a letter from Cletus Kasady saying he would trade Weying's life for Brock's. Lewis warned her that Venom would kill both of them, but Shriek scoffed that better people than Brock had tried and failed. Speeding down the road, Lewis called Brock and told him that Shriek and Kasady captured Weying and took her to Grace Cathedral.

Lewis himself showed up at the Cathedral as well and, just as Venom and Carnage were fighting, doused Carnage with burning gasoline from one of the upper floors. Hearing Carnage and Kasady screaming in pain, Shriek rushed to see what was happening just as Lewis ran out of gas. The fight between the Symbiotes ended in Shriek falling to her death while Kasady and the Carnage symbiote were both eaten by Venom. As police reinforcements arrived, Lewis, Brock, and Weying fled the cathedral. Weying told Venom to get Brock as far away from San Francisco as possible. Manifesting its head, Venom told Lewis to take care as well.[2]

Chase of Venom[]

"There you are. Get me General Strickland."
―Dan Lewis[src]

Dan was also the founder of the Imperium Program that tracked Eddie Brock and his symbiote Venom.

Personality[]

This section needs a rewrite

Dan is a good-natured and kind person who always tries to help people, regardless of their conditions. He was shown to be an ardent fan of The Brock Report and described himself as a big fan of Eddie's work.

Much to Lewis' discomfort, he was upset that Anne Weying kept all of the information about Symbiotes to herself when she assured that there were not going to be any more aliens on Earth.
