Benjamin Parker is a New York City Fire Department EMT. Ben is the husband of May Parker, as well as the brother-in-law of Mary Parker. Ben and May Parker later took guardianship of Mary's son Peter Parker.

Benjamin Parker grew up with his brother Richard, both of them close. Ben has a desire to help people, which is why he eventually decides to pursue a career as military police officer as an adult. As a police officer, he had many high adrenaline situations including being shot at. Despite his job he still managed to have time for his family, especially his brother, who met and married a woman named Mary.[1][2]
Joining the FDNY[]
Since Richard was a scientist most of the time Richard was away, which result on Ben taking care of Mary while Richard was away, which result on Ben becoming a important part of the family to the point Mary revels that the wouldn't known what they would do without him. Thanks to the dangers of his job, Ben eventually quit his job as a police officer and instead continued to pursued his goal of saving people by joining the New York City Fire Department EMT as a paramedic. There, Ben continue to trying to save people while using jokes as a cope mechanism there he meet O'Neil as well as Cassandra "Cassie" Webb who he would befriend. To the point of not having any secrets between them.[1]
Taking care of a pregnant Mary Parker[]
At one point before Peter's birth, Richard need to go away so Ben was given the mission of taking care of Mary and the unborn baby while he was away with Ben living on the home of Richard and Mary until his brother come home. As such, he help Mary organized his nephew's baby shower with Ben also being able to invite guest of his own. During this period of time, Ben also began dating a lot of women in hope of finding love until during one of his dates he meet a woman named May with Ben eventually falling in loved with her.[1][2]

Ben Parker has shown to have a laid-back personality, always telling jokes and using bad puns as a way to relieve tension. As shown when her best sister-in-law tells him that her water broke, Ben's first reaction is to joke that she just peed herself, showing that he usually uses humor as a copy mechanism. Despite his joking personality, Ben has shown himself to be understanding, trustworthy and loyal. But above all responsible. Those are the main reasons why Cassandra Webb has so much esteem and trust in Ben to the point that there was no secret between them. When O'Neill died, Ben was the first to comfort her and call her to see if she was okay, showing great signs of empathy. Ben's responsibility make several people entrust him with several important tasks, such as his brother Richard letting him take care of his wife and his friend Cassandra asking him to take care of the Boo Crew while both of them were away.
Ben has shown great love for the children, deciding to take care of the Boo Crew without hesitation until Cassie returns. And according to Mary, he is very excited about being an uncle since he loves children in general. Which was shown when a child of the woman they washed relaxed something to Cassie with Ben telling her to keep it since he didn't want to hurt his feelings. Apart from that, Ben's responsibility also shows that he has a great love for people in general and always tries to help those he can, being the main reason why he became a military police officer to be able to help all people. that could Even after leaving work he still had the same desire to help people, deciding to work for New York City Fire Department as a EMT showing his dedicating in helping the people.

- In the comics, Benjamin Franklin Parker is an elderly man who took care of Peter Parker alongside his wife May following the death of his brother and sister-in-law.
