A Weird Visit[]
- "SeƱor... What the hell were those things?!"

In July 2021, the Bartender's workplace was surprised by the sudden reappearance of Eddie Brock and his symbiote Venom, who had gotten returned from another universe after being sent accidentally there due to a multiversal spell. Once Brock and Venom realized they were in their universe's equivalent to the bar they had been, Venom complained that their universe's Bartender didn't look funny due to his longer hair. The pair bonded and proceeded to trash the bar in one of Venom's shenanigans to make a Bloody Mary, scaring the Bartender. Upon seeing in the news Eddie was being looked for due to apparently murdering Patrick Mulligan, the pair left the hotel due to their fugitive status, though Venom left a venomized coin for the Bartender as a tip for his "service".[1]
Getting Kidnapped[]

Sometime after Eddie and Venom left his bar, the bartender sat down in front of his table, downing a drink due to witnessing his customer's unusual attitude. While drinking, he noticed the coin Eddie left him had a symbiote trail on it, and tried to touch it, before General Rex Strickland and the United States Armed Forces appeared on the scene, with Strickland locking Venom's piece inside a vial. He then asked him questions about Eddie before tasing the Bartender and having his men take him away for being a witness to alien life.[1]
Escaping from Custody[]
As it turns out, the Bartender was taken to Area 55, located under Area 51, to be locked away for an indefinite amount of time by the United States of America government. However, after both areas being destroyed by the Xenophages and Venom's sacrifice to kill them all to stop Knull from escaping Klyntar, the Bartender found a way out of his destroyed cell. Scared due to seeing the flaming remains of the battle, the Bartender ran away to the Nevada desert, asking for help while unaware a cockroach and a surviving piece of Venom inside a broken vial were near to him.[2]
